A New Year, a New Look, a New You!

January is a time of new beginnings. It is a time when many people decide to act on their resolutions and start a different career, join a gym, lose weight, look for a new relationship, etc…

One of the best ways to complement that resolution is to get rid of our old image and start fresh. This means changing the way we look to help us change the way we behave. This can easily be achieved by getting a new wardrobe to help us feel different and get us out of the routines we’re used to.

Traditionally, this would have been very expensive and unattainable for most people. However, with Wardrobe Exchange getting a completely new wardrobe is not only attainable to all but it is also fun, free, and environmentally friendly!

WardrobeExchange.com is and online database that allows members to get rid of their old clothing in exchange for points. Those points are then used to get garments of your choice from other members and presto, you have a new wardrobe! More importantly, you did not break the bank to get it because it was free!

The full service launches in a few weeks, however, if you sign up now for our pre-launch membership you will be ahead of everyone else and will enjoy special perks!

Why Wait For Christmas to get Free Clothes? Be Your Own Santa Every Day!

How many presents did you get this holiday season? More importantly, how many of them was clothing or gift certificates to your favorite clothing stores? Well, we guess at least a few.

It is always nice to update one’s wardrobe, particularly if you are not paying for it. With Wardrobe Exchange you can now have this feeling all year. Best of all, you are sure to get things you’ll actually like.

When you dive into your closet to put away all that nice new stuff you got this Christmas, look around to see if there are any items in there that you’d no longer wear. Although we haven’t visited your closet, we are fairly sure there are a few things in there you never want to be seen wearing in public.

Perhaps it is time to get rid of that embarrassing sweater your aunt gave you two years ago or that unflattering pair of jeans you only bought because they were on sale. Instead of tossing them out, put them to good use!

By listing your unwanted clothing on WardrobeExchange.com you can trade your clutter for points and you can trade those points for clothing you’d actually be proud to wear. You make your selection on line and the garments will be boxed and delivered to you in the mail for free.

So why not make every morning a Christmas morning? Sign up now and give your self some holiday cheer all year.

Official service launches in January. Sign up now for your free membership.

Wardrobe Exchange - What’s in YOUR Closet?

If you checked your closet right now, what are the chances that you’d find some clothing that you no longer wear and even some items you bought at an impulse but never wore at all? Odds are you have more than a few things that fit that description. Why not take those items and turn them into something you actually want?

This is the concept behind Wardrobe Exchange, an on-line community where members trade clothing at no cost. This alternative to traditional shopping is eco-friendly, fun, and convenient.

When people shop for clothing, they buy things that fit their lifestyle and taste at the time. However, lifestyles change but clothes don’t. Whether you recently gained or lost a few pounds, grew an inch, aged another year, changed a profession, had a baby, or did anything else that makes you human, you likely have some unwanted clothes as the result.

Don’t discard those items, turn them into virtual currency and get other clothing in return! Wardrobe Exchange is building a global network of swappers with the intention of creating an infinite shopping mall full of free clothes for our members.

Wardrobe Poll:
We’d love to hear your opinion as we develop the service. Take a look at your closet and tell us what percentage of your wardrobe you no longer use:
(Enter your answer selection on the top right of this page)
a) 0%
b) 1-10%
c) 10-25%
d) 25-50%
e) over 50%

We’ll examine your survey results in another future blog entry. Thanks for participating. Don’t forget to sign up for our special launch list. Preview launch members will enjoy special promotions and features.

Do You Have a Closet Full of Clothes but Nothing to Wear?

Would you like to get a completely different wardrobe at a click of a button whenever you feel like it? Do you want it to be free?

Well from now on it’s your lucky day, every day! We are about to launch WardrobeExchange.com, a fun new site that will allow you to get rid of your unwanted threads and get cool clothing of your choice in return. Best of all, the service is absolutely free! Think of it as a giant swap meet on a global scale (or a free virtual shopping mall).

How does it work?
Step 1: create a free account (AKA your on-line wardrobe) and fill it with pictures and descriptions of your unwanted clothes.
Step 2: browse other people’s wardrobes to find clothing that you’d like to have.
Step 3: confirm your order and wait for your new outfits to arrive.

Come On, Is it really free?
Yes, the service is ABSOLUTLEY FREE. When you upload your unwanted items into your on-line wardrobe, you will assign simple value points to each garment. Those points will then become the “price” for your item. Similarly, when you shop for clothing, you will need points to “purchase” it.

So how do I get points?
That is the best part. As you upload clothing to your on-line wardrobe, you will be given starter points which will allow you to make an immediate “purchase”. You’ll get more points by actively trading items in your wardrobe with other members.

Can I just get things from other members and never trade any of my own clothes?
Well, that’s not going to get you very far. As we mentioned, you will earn points by actively trading. This means that you will need to list and send some of your unwanted clothes to other members in order to maintain an active trading status.

Think of it this way, if you love everything in your real closet and you don’t want to part with any of it, simply get your friends and family to give you some of their unwanted items. Upload those, and start trading.

Besides, if you are an active swapper, you will be getting things all the time which means that you will have plenty of clothes to list (or re-list) on the site when you no longer want to wear them.

Can I put any piece of clothing in my on-line wardrobe?
There are only a few rules about this. Clothes must be clean and free of ANY stains, can’t be torn, or worn to the point they look abused. Other than that, you are free to upload any contemporary or vintage things.

Just keep in mind that in order to be an active trader, it is in your interest to have some desirable items listed in your account. If you have 100 mismatched socks in your on-line wardrobe, it is very likely that no one will want your items and you will not be able to earn any points. We suggest that you only list clothing that you think others may want.

How does the shipping work?
When you assign a value point to your item, you will assign shipping points to it, as well. For example, if you say your jacket is worth 5 points and you add 2 extra points for shipping, you will earn 7 points when someone decides to “buy” that jacket from you. In return, you agree to pay for mailing it knowing that having those 2 shipping points means that you won’t incur any shipping charges when you “buy” a similar item from another member.

I'm really liking this, How do I become a member?
The site will launch in January, however, we are now receiving advance membership requests. If you sign up for our Launch List, we will send you instructions on how to prepare your digital wardrobe listings so that when the site is launched, you’ll be able to start listing and trading immediately. Furthermore, all the members that join prior to official site launch will get some special perks as well (more about that later though).
